Anthony Livanios is an international economist and the CEO of U.S. Energy Stream, an oil and gas advisory firm based in Houston, Texas and Frankfurt, Germany. Recently he was named an „Ambassador of Equity in Energy“ by the US Department of Energy. He will present to the American-German Business Club-Frankfurt, the American economy and the Energy Industry with emphasis on:
• The impact of Covid-19 on the American Economy and the Energy industry
• Oil and gas supply and demand in relation to the U.S. and European economy
• Economic Recovery and the Energy Industry
Some of the questions that he will seek to answer are: What will be the effect of the increase in government spending of the stimulus package on Oil and Gas Demand, Prices, and Production? Will the USA be able to maintain its energy self-sufficient status? How will Natural Gas supply-demand and distribution be affected for USA and for Europe? Are there current alternatives to what we have now? How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed the energy situation in Germany?
Anthony Livanios has 30-years of experience and having lived in multiple countries, he has successfully navigated the international energy markets as an economist, negotiator, and entrepreneur. Anthony teaches the economics of shale gas revolution and the geopolitics of Eurasian oil and gas to business executives and policy makers. He holds multiple, private events yearly in Houston, Washington, D.C., London, and Frankfurt to discuss and study current trends in oil and gas industry.
Anthony was president of Poseidon Offshore Natural Gas Pipeline based in Milan, Italy; Managing Director of LNG Trading at M&M Gas based in Athens, Greece; CEO of Energy Stream GmbH based in Frankfurt am Main. Early in his entrepreneurial career he founded three private firms that offered innovative services in market research and marketing campaigns for small and medium companies as well as Fortune 500 corporations.
Anthony has a MA in International Affairs from Columbia University in the City of New York and a BA in Economics from the American University of Washington, D.C. He is fluent in English, German, and Greek with commercial knowledge of French. Anthony now resides in Houston, TX with his wife, Peggy. He has 4 children.
