U.S. Mid Terms Lunch

AGBC FlagThe US 2018 midterm elections are less than a month away.

Millions of Americans will go to the polls and the results will be significant, beyond US borders. All 435 members of the United States House of Representatives are up for election and about one-third of the Senate.

The outcome will undoubtedly be a referendum on President Trump and his politics. The Democrats hope for a blue landslide and the Republicans to maintain their majority in both the Senate and House of Representatives.

The election results and repercussions for both parties are enormous! Will President Trump be confirmed in his course and political style? Or will he spend the next two years as a lame duck?

Dr. Christoph von Marschall of the Der Tagesspiegel, Prof. Dr. Sean Theriault, University Distinguished Teaching Professor University of Texas at Austin, and Claus Gramckow of the Transatlantic Dialogue Program of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Washington, D.C. will make predictions and answer these and other significant questions at the lunch.
